Question 599

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon my guardian Muhammad, his vicegerent Ahmed, and their good and pure forefathers. My first question is: Why do I see religious scholars in visions after their deaths? I saw Sayyid Khomeini three days after his death, with light shining from his forehead and cheeks. I could not recognize him except by his eyebrows. Another turbaned man was with him, and they were at the beginning of a road. I saw Bint al-Huda, al-Sadr’s sister, with her hair loose and wearing something resembling a shroud. She said to me, ‘Your age is from my age,’ or ‘My age is from your age’; I do not remember well. I saw Baqir al-Hakim after he was killed in the bombing, sitting in a room of martyred religious scholars. He appeared as a boy upon a cushion, and beside him was the elderly martyr al-Sadr II, bending over al-Hakim as though praising him. Sayyid Baqir smiled the smile of a student when his teacher praises him. Light shone from the elderly al-Sadr’s head in rings, and Sayyid al-Sadr’s cushion was higher than Sayyid Baqir’s cushion. I saw Sayyid Muhammad Rida al-Shirazi in the same appearance that was published on the internet. He was deceased and standing, wearing a shroud of a beautiful greenish-blue turquoise color. Around his neck was a silver chain from which hung a rather large lock and two other things that I do not remember. Finally, this is the third time or more that I have heard these noble verses in a dream: ‘On the day when the sky brings forth a visible smoke, covering the people. This is a painful punishment. Our Lord, remove the punishment from us; indeed, we are believers … Indeed, We will remove the punishment for a little while; indeed, you will return’ ([86]). I also heard verses from the beginning of Surat al-Anbiya and the end of Surat al-Shams: ‘When its most wretched one arose …’ ([87]). Some of it was recited in the same manner as your recitation. Do these concern me?? I am afraid, my master. Please supplicate for us to have a good end. Sender: Zaynab - United Arab Emirates

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. In some visions of people, what is intended by them is only their names. The Sayyid Khomeini whom you saw was not Sayyid Khomeini himself (may Allah have mercy upon him). Rather, it was an introduction from Allah to you concerning the one coming to reform the nation after the Sayyid’s death (may Allah have mercy upon him), through a person you know, namely Sayyid Khomeini. What is intended, therefore, is only Sayyid Khomeini’s name, which is ‘Ruhullah’-the Spirit of Allah. Likewise, the Bint al-Huda whom you saw cannot be the Alawid Bint al-Huda, the sister of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir (may Allah have mercy upon them both), because her statement to you, ‘Your age is from my age’-and this is the correct wording-means that she is from the family of Muhammad and not an ordinary human being. Rather, she is from the spirits of life-the family of Muhammad (a)-from whom come the life and death of the rest of creation. As for your vision of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim and Sayyid al-Sadr (may Allah have mercy upon them both), Allah willing it is good for them. They died upon allegiance, Allah willing, before the declaration of 13 Rajab, and they did not deny the Call. As for Muhammad Rida al-Shirazi, your vision concerning him is not good for him. The chain and lock mean imprisonment. May Allah protect you from the prison of the Hereafter. As for what you hear, it is a warning that punishment is coming upon the people of the earth. I ask Allah to grant you, and all the supporters, well-being, salvation, and a good end. As for the verse, ‘When its most wretched one arose,’ it is because the conduct of the Mahdi will be like the conduct of Ali (a), and his end will be like the end of Ali (a). May Allah grant you success in every good. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Rajab al-Asabb, 1431 AH
