Question 625
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May Allah send prayers upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, and his good and pure family. One day, I performed a little of the night prayer, read Surat al-Baqara, and supplicated with the supplication of Imam al-Hasan (a). Then I performed the dawn supererogatory prayer and the dawn prayer and went to sleep. In my dream, I saw a person placing his turban upon his head and wrapping it around his neck. I asked him, ‘Are you the Mahdi?’ He said to me, ‘Yes, I am the Mahdi.’ Then he said to me, ‘Testify,’ so I testified immediately. He came forward and sat before me, and I sat behind him reciting Surat al-Baqara. During my recitation, I became confused about some verses, so I stopped at them and repeated them, but did not find my way to them. Then the Imam-peace be upon him-turned briefly toward me from the left, and I recalled the verse. At that point, I awoke from my dream. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Provide me with the interpretation; may Allah reward you on my behalf with goodness. Prayers and peace be upon our prophet, the Prophet of Mercy, and upon his good and pure family, the Imams and the Mahdis. Peace be upon you. Sender: Abu Abd al-Jabbar - Morocco
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good. I ask Allah to grant you the best good-His pleasure, Glorious is He, and the Garden-and that Allah spare you the worst evil-His displeasure and the Fire. The meaning of your vision is that, by Allah’s grace upon you, you will be guided to the truth and, Allah willing, be among the supporters of the Mahdi. As for the verses from Surat al-Baqara about which you became confused, they are Ayat al-Kursi. I ask Allah to grant you success and guide your steps. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Muharram al-Haram, 1432 AH
