Peace be upon you and upon everyone who follows guidance. To proceed: I saw in a dream that I had an incubator containing very many chicken eggs. There was one enormous, very large egg that I had placed by itself on the first shelf of the incubator. In the dream, I knew that I had placed this egg a long time ago, and it had continued growing until it reached this enormous size. As I looked at it, it hatched and a wonderful, beautiful chick emerged. It seemed to me to be a cockerel rather than a hen. I liked it very much, held it, and began walking around the incubator with it. Then a young man came to me and said, ‘All this weariness and effort for one chick?’ I became a little upset. Then I looked at the incubator, and all the eggs were hatching. The chicks began, as they say, bursting about inside the incubator; they began jumping, and all looked alike. I could not count them, for their number was very great. I smiled, became very happy, and said to the young man, ‘Come and look at the chicks.’ I do not know its interpretation. I do not own an incubator, nor do I have chickens or chicks, although I did have chickens and chicks years ago. If its interpretation is bad, I ask you to write in the answer, ‘Do not fear, and be mindful of Allah.’ If its interpretation is good, then please write it, with your permission, my master.
