Question 666

It has been related in the words of the Household that whoever recites Surat al-Tawhid three times is as though he has recited the entire Quran. Is the number three connected to the oneness of Allah and to divesting oneself of the idea of a plurality in the divine-represented by the Father, the Son, and the consort? May my soul be a sacrifice for the dust beneath your feet. Your servant, Umm Mustafa Sajidah al-Ansariyyah - Iraq

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Repeatedly reciting the Quran and supplications is recommended, and repetition benefits the self and increases knowledge. As for the number three in Surat al-Tawhid being equivalent to reciting the Quran, this is from Allah’s favor upon the family of Muhammad and upon the people: He placed a magnificent reward in a small deed. Allah is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
