Cannabis and hashish plants for medical treatment in a country where they are illegal Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. My guardian, here is a question from some supporters around the world. You have said that cannabis and hashish plants are forbidden unless the purpose is, for example, medical or industrial. Some countries, such as the United States, Europe, and scientifically advanced countries, use the cannabis plant to treat cancer, ADHD, OCD, and many other illnesses. There are physicians who prefer that the patient use this plant instead of other medications. What should a patient do if he has one of these illnesses, actually diagnosed by a physician, but this plant is illegal in the country where he lives? May he obtain and use it for a medical purpose or not? Also, may a person diagnose his own condition and say, ‘I have such-and-such illness,’ without visiting a physician? We have heard and seen this situation from some individuals.
