Question 754
I ask about the ruling concerning hacked-pirated-computer programs, such as design programs and antivirus programs, which originally must be purchased and may be very expensive and beyond our ability to buy. We obtain versions online that have been hacked and can use them without paying anything. What is the ruling concerning doing this-downloading and installing hacked programs? What is the ruling concerning using these programs that we have now installed on our computers? May we use them?
