Question 790

I constantly doubt my prayer. I say: Did I forget an obligatory act or not? Did I forget to recite a verse or not? Did wind leave me or not? Is this obsessive doubt, or what? Please answer me, I implore you.

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. If it occurs frequently, as appears from the question, it is considered satanic obsessive doubt. One does not attend or turn to it. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
