Question 827
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. I have believed in the Call for a relatively short time and have seen several visions, all confirming that Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan is the Yamani and that your Call is true. They also confirm that relief is extremely near. This made me stop all my work and affairs. I was offered the opportunity to open a new business here in Germany with a friend providing the capital and me the labor, but did not enter it so I would not become bound to him and leave him if circumstances called me back to Iraq. I have even refrained from moving to a new apartment and always await something happening. My master, I ask your advice: should I remain waiting, or complete my affairs here and enter this project? I also wish to relate my latest vision. I was walking in a European city with a young woman, speaking with her. The city suddenly ended, and at its edge was something like a popular market in Iraq, in turmoil. I told them to ascend a staircase there, whose steps rose from the ground to a hill, city, or building. A deceased relative named Husayn was present, calling people to ascend. Halfway up a battle occurred and most people turned back, but I continued. At the top was a building also in turmoil, with killing, journalists, and gunfire, on a riverbank. On my side the river was dry and had only mud. Beside it was a European city displaying European flags, celebrating, with people swimming along the bank. My friend Ihsan was among them. Their side had water, not mud, and a fissure in the river separated the sides. I asked, ‘Do you not see the people killing one another in the neighboring city?’ One replied, ‘We have nothing to do with them; what they face is of their own making.’ Then I saw a torrent of standing date-palm orchards moving through the river and dragging everything in its path from the European side. I called to my friend Ihsan-who does not believe in the Call-‘Get out; the torrent will take you!’ But it took them and they descended into the fissure. The torrent continued toward the city whose river was mud. My brother, who studies at the religious seminary in Najaf, was in the mud. I called him, but he did not emerge. During the torrent, enormous black ships came against its direction, sounding sirens and rising whenever the torrent rose. I said, ‘This is the prophecy Jesus told us.’ A Christian asked how I knew Jesus and his prophecy. I said the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) had told us. The riverbank began slipping away. An old woman clung to it; I tried to help but could not. She said, ‘Leave me and go; I am finished.’ We heard a voice say, ‘Head to an orchard.’ It stood high up and had a thick wall. The Christian and I climbed with extreme difficulty. A tremendous light came from the orchard and a voice called, ‘Whoever enters this orchard is safe.’ We entered fearfully. The Christian disappeared and I remained alone. I saw a lion running rapidly toward the torrent. I remained still; it passed me and went toward the torrent. My master, advise me and please reply, O Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan. What should I do? All my affairs are suspended and I feel unstable.
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good. Work normally. Do not allow your faith to have a negative effect upon your life or work; instead, make it a cause for greater reassurance, certainty, and stability. When Allah favors the believer and informs him of what will occur, he grows in reassurance and certainty and pays no regard to anything worldly he might lose or gain. I ask Allah to grant you success in every good. He is my Guardian, and He protects the righteous. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
