Question 24
Is it permissible to curse corrupt scholars and jurists of misguidance in the qunut of prayer?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If you mean those who are still in this world of trial, there is no benefit achieved by cursing them in the qunut of prayer. Cursing is a prayer that someone be expelled from God's mercy; if they die in their present state, they are expelled from God's mercy. It may be better to pray for guidance for anyone from whom guidance and recognition of the truth may still be hoped for while he is alive and remains in this world of trial.
