Question 88
If someone usually recites Surat al-Tawhid after al-Hamd, and on an occasion recites it without designating the basmala for it due to forgetfulness or inattention, then notices midway through it, must he repeat it or not?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
The basmala must be designated for the surah. When he begins reciting the basmala, he must know which surah he intends to recite.
