Question 24
What is the ruling if an item that cannot by itself constitute the clothing required for prayer—such as a sock, belt, or similar item—is impure?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
The answer is stated in The Laws of Islam: ‘It is permissible to pray in something in which prayer cannot be performed by itself, even if it contains an impurity that would not be excused in something else.’
