Question 148
If a person joins the congregational prayer before the imam bows in the third rak'ah, must the person wait until the imam bows before joining, or may the person say the opening takbir even when knowing there is not enough time to recite al-Fatihah and a surah?

The person does not have to wait until the imam bows.
