Question 49
Must the place of prostration be stable? For example, some people place the turbah on a foam cushion or similar material. Is prostration valid in that situation?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If the foam is thick so that the place of prostration is not stable, it is not permissible. If the foam is thin so that stability is achieved when the forehead is placed down, there is no problem with it.
