Question 70
Is the opening takbir valid from someone who says 'Allah wa akbar' or 'Allaha akbar'?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If a person knows the prescribed wording and is able to pronounce it, he may not deliberately distort it. A non-Arab is excused if he is unable to pronounce it, as is someone who does not know the prescribed wording or whose tongue is heavy.
