Question 69
If a person intends one obligatory prayer in his heart but mentions a different obligatory prayer with his tongue, is the prayer he intended valid?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If you mean that he mentioned the other obligatory prayer with his tongue out of inattention or forgetfulness, then the prayer he intended is valid, and what he uttered through inattention or forgetfulness has no effect.
