Question 103

What is the ruling on autopsying a deceased body, as is done in many hospitals in countries today?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

It is not permissible to autopsy the body of a deceased believer unless there is suspicion of a crime or of a disease that threatens the believers generally.
