Question 148

If droppings from an animal with flowing blood, such as mouse droppings or something similar, are found in cooked rice or another cooked food, how is the food purified?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

First, the actual substance of the impurity must be removed if possible. Then the rice is washed once to remove what remains of the actual impurity, and it is washed a second time to purify it.
