Question 109

What is the ruling on a woman going to a male doctor when there is no female doctor in the same specialty?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

If the treatment involves something prohibited, such as the doctor looking at or touching a part of the woman's body that he is not permitted to look at or touch, it is not permissible except in a case of necessity.
