Question 49
It is reported from Imam Ahmad al-Hassan that eating bone and cartilage is forbidden and impermissible. Does this include the bones of all slaughtered animals and fish as well?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It includes all slaughtered animals and fish as well. An exception is fish bone that is difficult to remove; there is no problem in eating what cannot reasonably be separated.
