What period determines the fermentation of barley? Is it a Sharia period or one determined by customary practice, given that people identify fermentation by different signs or time periods?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
The matter depends on the amount of alcohol formed in it. If it is small and does not exceed 2 percent, there is no problem and it is not considered fermented.
