Question 177
Wherever I turn in my affairs, doors close in my face and I do not know why. Recently I pursued something I thought would work, but that also closed. Is there a solution?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Hold firmly to Allah, draw near to Him, and keep your heart occupied with His remembrance. Do not be concerned if a matter is delayed or brought forward; perhaps what was delayed from you is better for you because of His knowledge of the outcomes of affairs. Seek refuge in Allah's sanctuary and fortify yourself through Him. Do not worry if a door or many doors close before you; they will certainly open one day in the best condition, and then you will know that the closing of those doors pushed you toward the good of the Hereafter and this world. Maintain the night prayer and supplication, and Allah will open the doors of goodness for you, God willing.
