Question 133
In Iran there is a popular military organization called the Basij, operating under Sayyid Khamenei. They oppose the blessed Call and describe us as deviant. What is your view of Ansar who join them and assist in their work?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
As long as their work remains within the limits of Sharia and they do not cause injustice to anyone, there is no problem with their work. They are Iranians and have the right to join any military formation for the defense of Iran.
