Question 88

A sister repairs clothing and is asked by women and girls to tighten existing garments so they become fitted and outline the body. Another Ansari sister applies henna designs to women's hands while knowing some of them will go out where unrelated men can see the decoration. What is the Sharia ruling on their work?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

There is no problem with their mentioned work, and they are not responsible for what other people do with those clothes or adornments. Every person is accountable for his or her own deed.
