Question 112

May a woman have a passport photograph taken with her head uncovered when the country in which she lives requires this?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

If she is compelled to do so, she may have the photograph taken while using a wig or artificial hair as a covering on her head. A woman may not uncover her head before a non-mahram man.
