Question 73
Some women take money from their husbands without their knowledge, saying that the husband does not give them money and they are forced to take some secretly. Is this lawful or unlawful?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
The relationship between husband and wife is supposed to be greater than money, and there should be affection, mercy, a good relationship, and mutual understanding between them. But in general, a wife may not take her husband's money without his permission as long as he spends on her enough to meet her needs and the needs of her children.
