Question 96
What role do believing women in the blessed Yamani call have at the time of the rise of the Qa'im and the beginning of wars against the enemies of the family of Muhammad? Will women be present on the battlefield, and how can they be true soldiers of Imam al-Mahdi in that stage?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Women can have a role in many areas of the divine state if God wills that it be established at some time. In many fields and kinds of work, women are no less capable than men; indeed, in some work women are much better than men. Islam does not place restrictions on women even holding positions in which they lead society, whenever a woman is qualified and performs the work fully and correctly.
