Question 81

When a woman reads the Noble Quran, must she observe the same covering that is obligatory for her in prayer?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

A woman may read the Quran with her head uncovered, and she is not required to cover any part of her body when reading the Quran. She may read whenever she wishes and in whatever clothing, as long as she is in her home.
