Question 108
May a woman work in mixed-gender workplaces? Does the ruling differ depending on whether her husband agrees or refuses? She does not need the salary because her husband provides her with a decent living, and her absence from home may require someone else to uncover the private parts of a child under four years old.
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
A woman's work is lawful and there is no problem with it. If her husband refuses to allow her to work and he provides for her living expenses, she may not disobey him by leaving the house without his permission.
