Does having the same or a different horizon affect the determination of the crescent?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
A similar question was answered in The Enlightening Answer: the birth of the crescent is unrelated to the horizon of the observer's location, while seeing it with the eye is certainly affected by the horizon because the horizon is relative to the observer's location. If the just Imam rules that a lunar month has begun or ended, that ruling applies to all people on earth regardless of whether visual sighting is possible.
