Question 35
If the sun has already risen and a woman enters a state of istihada in the forenoon or at noon but does not perform ghusl, is her fast invalid?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If she neglects the obligatory ghusls required of her, her fast is not valid; I mentioned this in Al-Shara'i. If she does not neglect the obligatory ghusls, her fast is valid. The ghusls required for purification from istihada are detailed in Al-Shara'i.
