Question 35

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his good and purified family. Sayyid Ahmed al-Hasani, peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. I am the author of a study about Imam al-Mahdi (a) entitled The Beginning of the American War against Imam al-Mahdi (a), which can be viewed at the following website: http://www.geocities.com/almahdion2022 One of the brothers informed me about what you call to and gave me the address of your website so that I could examine your views and claims extensively. In truth-and pardon these words-I found in your call only words that neither nourish nor satisfy. Many people have said and claimed such things throughout time. It has not been established for me that Imam al-Hujja-may Allah, Glorious and Exalted, hasten his noble relief-will send a messenger to the people. But I know certain matters I did not mention in the book; therefore, if what you say is true, you must encompass them, because you claim that you are now the most knowledgeable of people regarding the Book of Allah, Glorious and Exalted. My question is this: there are two concealed names in Surat al-Fatiha that can be extracted from it. They are written differently from the way they are commonly known; one is written from right to left and the other from left to right. What are these two names, and how are they brought forth? If I receive from you an answer to this question, then, Allah willing, I will be among those who pledge allegiance to you. But if I do not receive anything that answers it, this will be an indication from you that your claim is false. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, who guided us to this; we would not have been guided had Allah not guided us. May Allah bless our master Muhammad and his good and purified family. Majid al-Mahdi 24 Rabi al-Thani 1426 AH

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. ‘Indeed, in that is a sign for whoever fears the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a day for which the people will be gathered, and that is a day witnessed. We delay it only for a numbered term’ ([79]). 1. Had you examined-even briefly rather than extensively-The Allegories, Al-Fatiha, The Illuminations, The Calf, and the other books on the website which, in your opinion, contain words that neither nourish nor satisfy, you would have found that I explained that all the names of Allah, Glorious and Exalted, are present in Surat al-Fatiha. The name of the Prophet (s), Ali (a), Fatima, the Imams (a), and the Mahdis (a) are present as well. 2. If my words neither nourish nor satisfy, there is no need for an apology, only idle speech; and if the opposite is true, there is no excuse except seeking forgiveness and repentance from the One, the All-Subduing. 3. It has not been established for you that Imam al-Mahdi (a) will send a messenger to the people. Is Muhammad, the Pure Soul, not a messenger? Is the master who takes charge of his affair not a messenger? Is the Yamani not a messenger? Is the one who rises from the East not a messenger? Read the hadiths narrated from the family of Muhammad (a) which Sheikh Nazim al-Uqayli-may Allah preserve him-cited in his book The Crushing Response. It is a debate with Sayyid al-Sistani, his office, and the Center for Doctrinal Research affiliated with it. Perhaps Allah will illuminate your heart and guide you to the truth. Here is a jewel from the ocean of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a), in which he mentioned me. It is narrated from al-Asbagh ibn Nubata that he said: ‘I came to the Commander of the Faithful (a) and found him drawing lines on the ground. I said to him, “O Commander of the Faithful, why do I see you thinking and drawing lines on the ground? Is it out of desire for it?” He said: “No, by Allah, I have never desired it or the world. Rather, I was thinking about a child who will be from the loins of the eleventh of my descendants. He is the Mahdi who will fill it with justice and equity just as it was filled with oppression and injustice. He will have a period of bewilderment and occultation during which some people go astray and others are guided.” I said: “My master, how long will the bewilderment and occultation last?” He said: “Six days, six months, or six years.” I said: “Will this matter surely occur?” He said: “Yes, just as he has been created. But how far you are from this matter, O Asbagh. Those are the best of this nation together with the righteous of this progeny.” I said: “Then what happens after that?” He said: “Then Allah does whatever He wills, for He has new determinations, wills, aims, and ends”’ ([80]). The eleventh of the descendants of the Commander of the Faithful (a) is Imam al-Mahdi (a). The one from his loins is the First Mahdi of the twelve Mahdis, and he is the vicegerent and messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a). In Imam al-Rida’s supplication (a) for Imam al-Mahdi (a): ‘O Allah, grant him in himself, his family, his child, his progeny, his nation, and all his subjects that by which his eye is comforted …’ ([81]). This child whom Imam al-Rida (a) singled out in supplication is the First Mahdi, the vicegerent and messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a). I praise Allah for making me mentioned by him, by my fathers the Greatest Messenger Muhammad (s), the Commander of the Faithful Ali (a), and the Imams (a), and for not making me forgotten. Then, in your titled book, you required that Imam al-Mahdi send a messenger. So what changed your mind? This is the text of your own words in chapter three: ‘I hope the reader will not be like those who said to Allah’s prophet Moses (a), “Show us Allah openly.” Now, if we suppose that Allah, Glorious and Exalted, wanted to make clear to the people that the appearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a) is near, Allah willing, and that they must support him in raising the banner “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” how would this clarification or communication take place? It would have to take place by His subjecting whomever He wills of His servants so that what He desires appears at his hands and at the appropriate time, because it is necessary to know this matter at precisely this time, so that He may establish the conclusive proof against His servants.’ Did you forget-or pretend to forget-what your right hand wrote in your book? 4. How do you decide that if I do not enter into what you entered into of calculations and reversing words-which you suppose to be correct-I have made a false claim? This is not how camels are brought to water, O Saad! 5. If you adhere to your method of calculation, are certain of it and of its validity, then using the same method and what established numerical calculation for you-which you seek to establish for the people-calculate: ‘Who is Ahmed’ = ‘He is the messenger of the Mahdi,’ just as you calculated ‘Who is Muhammad’ = ‘He is Allah’s prophet’ in chapter three of your titled book. ‘Al-Mahdi’ is calculated by the large sum as 90 and converted to the small sum, becoming 9, just as you calculated ‘Muhammad’ in your book. م + ن + هـ + و + ا + ح + م + د 4 + 5 + 5 + 6 + 1 + 8 + 4 + 4 = 37 هـ + و + ر + س + و + ل + (ا ل م هـ د ي) 5 + 6 + 2 + 6 + 6 + 3 + (9) = 37 Likewise calculate ‘What is the Book of Allah’; you will find that it equals ‘He is the messenger of the Mahdi,’ just as you calculated in your book: ‘What is the Book of Allah? It is the Noble Quran.’ 5 + 6 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 5 + 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 37 The preceding thus makes clear to you that Ahmed is the messenger of the Mahdi, the Book of Allah, and the speaking Noble Quran, by the method you made the evidence for the validity of the science of letters in your titled book The Beginning of the American War against Imam al-Mahdi (a). So be mindful of Allah and adhere to the words of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (a), concerning the family of Muhammad (a): ‘Do not teach them, for they are more knowledgeable than you’ ([82]). Through this, the proof you acknowledge in your book has become binding upon you, so turning away and leaving the answer are not accepted from you. I will explain to you something of the secret of the number 37. The Exalted said: ‘Then a fast of three days during the pilgrimage and seven when you return; those are ten complete. That is for one whose family is not present at the Sacred Mosque’ ([83]). The ten are the seven heavens-the Great Throne-the Footstool, the Greatest Throne, and the pavilion of the Greatest Throne. These three are the House of Allah, the City of Divine Perfections in creation, and the City of Knowledge-Muhammad (s). For one who is from the family of Muhammad, all ten are in the pilgrimage-that is, in the House of Allah, in the City of Knowledge, in the House of Prophethood and the Mine of the Message. For more, and for the picture to become clearer to you, read The Allegories, Vol 3: ‘A Question about the Secret of Forty’ and ‘A Question about the Throne and the Footstool.’ 1. The number 37 consists of the two numbers 7 and 3, whose sum is 10. These are the ten of monotheism. Whoever completes them, makes pilgrimage to the House of Allah, visits the City of Knowledge, perfects his intellect, and becomes one of the three hundred and thirteen becomes one of us, the Ahl al-Bayt. This is narrated from my fathers (a): ‘Faith has ten degrees’ ([84]), and Salman completed the tenth-blessings of Allah be upon Salman-so ‘Salman is one of us, the Ahl al-Bayt’ ([85]). As for us, the Ahl al-Bayt, our ten are in the pilgrimage and in the House of Allah. 2. The number 37 consists of 10 + 27. Ten is the ten of pilgrimage, and twenty-seven is the knowledge permitted to be spread among the people, as narrated from them (a). Whoever completes the ten of pilgrimage-the ten of faith-can carry the twenty-seven letters of monotheism that Imam al-Mahdi (a) spreads. The Exalted said: ‘We desire to show favor to those who were oppressed in the earth, make them Imams, and make them the inheritors’ ([86]). Those whom Allah desires to make Imams are the family of Muhammad (a), the Imams and the Mahdis (a), as well as the three hundred and thirteen companions of Imam al-Mahdi (a). At the beginning of Surat al-Qasas is its secret, ‘طسم’. If you calculate the numerical value of these separated letters by the large sum: ط + س + م 9 + 60 + 40 = 109 The result is 9 + 100. When converted to the small sum-9 + 1-the result is 10. These are the ten of pilgrimage connected to the Imams-the three hundred and thirteen-mentioned in the verse. They are the ten of monotheism. Whoever makes pilgrimage to the House of Allah, adorns himself with them, perfects his intellect, becomes certain, has the Established firmly fixed with him, and professes the oneness of Him, Glorious is He-‘هو’. If you add the letters of ‘هو’, you find: هـ + و 5 + 6 = 11 This is 1 + 10. You have learned that ten is the ten of pilgrimage and faith, and one is He, Glorious and Exalted. Whoever adorns himself with the ten becomes certain and professes the oneness of the One. In brief, I have explained to you that within the number 37 are the ten of pilgrimage and monotheism, as well as the twenty-seven letters of the knowledge of monotheism. Whoever makes pilgrimage and adorns himself with the ten can carry and know the twenty-seven letters when they are spread among the people. This is the secret borne only by a sent prophet, an angel brought near, or a believer whose heart Allah has tested for faith. As a result, he becomes certain and professes the oneness of the One, Glorious and Exalted-‘هو’. I will add this for you: if you add ‘طسم’ by the small sum: ط + س + م = 9 + 6 + 4 = 19 The number of letters in the basmala is 19, and the basmala is the verse of monotheism. The Exalted said: ‘We have placed coverings over their hearts lest they understand it, and deafness in their ears. When you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion’ ([87])-that is, say ‘In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,’ as narrated from them (a) ([88]). You have learned that ‘طسم’ points to the people of monotheism, the three hundred and thirteen. Thus the number of letters in the verse of monotheism-‘In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful’-equals the number in the verse of the monotheists-‘طسم’. The people of the Fire are polytheists, so the number of the verse of the monotheists was placed over them. The Exalted said: ‘Over it are nineteen. We have appointed only angels as keepers of the Fire, and We have made their number only as a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those given the Book may become certain, those who believe may increase in faith, those given the Book and the believers may not doubt, and those in whose hearts is disease and the disbelievers may say, “What did Allah intend by this example?” Thus Allah leads astray whomever He wills and guides whomever He wills. None knows the hosts of your Lord except Him. It is nothing but a reminder to humanity’ ([89]). The monotheists are the companions of the right in Surat al-Muddaththir who enter Paradise without reckoning. They are the companions of the Yamani, the vicegerent and messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a). The Exalted said: ‘Every soul is held in pledge for what it earned, except the companions of the right’ ([90]). Read the latest Declaration of the Yamani so that the picture becomes clearer to you and you increase in certainty-if you seek the truth and are among those given the Book or those who believed in the Book. The Exalted said: ‘We have made their number only as a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those given the Book may become certain and those who believe may increase in faith.’ Calculate with me the expressions: ‘وصي’ (vicegerent), ‘اليماني’ (the Yamani), ‘من هو اليماني’ (who is the Yamani), ‘هو وصي’ (he is a vicegerent), ‘هو وصي المهدي’ (he is the vicegerent of the Mahdi), and ‘أصحاب اليمين’ (the companions of the right). Before we begin the calculation, let us review what your right hand wrote in chapter two of your book The Beginning of the American War against Imam al-Mahdi (a), where you said: ‘Century Six, Prophecy Thirty-Three: His hand will finally extend into the bloody ALUS; he will be unable to protect himself at sea. He will fear the military hand between the two rivers, and the angry black man will make him regret his deed.’ You then continued in your book: ‘This is among the strangest prophecies Nostradamus mentioned, for he described Imam al-Mahdi (a) in a way that cannot be mistaken. The translators of the prophecies were perplexed by the meaning of the name in the prophecy. Most translators mentioned the name as it appeared, “ALUS,” while some even omitted it, as in the English translation. It is present in the French original. Here the translator rendered the word ALUS mentioned in the prophecy as “al-ALUS,” adding the Arabic definite article, did not know its meaning, and left history to solve its riddle when the event occurs. I will disclose what Nostradamus meant. Here, as usual when dealing with the names or titles of persons, Nostradamus used a pun involving a scribal alteration or shortening. He omitted the letter I from the end of the name, because if we add this letter the word becomes ALUSI-الوصي, “the vicegerent”-and the meaning becomes very clear. We know that the title “vicegerents” applies to the twelve Imams from the Ahl al-Bayt (a), and Imam al-Mahdi (a) is one of the vicegerents, so he may be called “the Vicegerent.” Here too, Nostradamus agrees with the Shia position. ‘Nostradamus describes a particular person here who may be a military commander or head of state attempting to kill Imam al-Mahdi (a) or eliminate his forces. He will fear the military force-the army of Imam al-Mahdi-situated between the two rivers, Iraq. But a man from among the soldiers of Imam al-Mahdi (a), whom he described as black-meaning Shia, because black clothing symbolizes the Shia-or perhaps an Arab Muslim man from Africa, a black man, will eliminate him and his forces while they are at sea, perhaps in one of the naval fleets or aboard an aircraft carrier, and destroy it.’ Before beginning the calculation, I have a comment on your preceding words. The vicegerent mentioned in Nostradamus’s prophecy is not Imam al-Mahdi (a), but the vicegerent of Imam al-Mahdi (a), the First of the twelve Mahdis who are the vicegerents of Imam al-Mahdi (a). He is the messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a) and the guardian who takes charge of his affair, as in the narrations. He is the promised Yamani of the family of Muhammad, who calls to the truth; one who turns away from him is among the people of the Fire, as narrated from them (a). In the testament of the Messenger of Allah (s): ‘From Abu Abdullah (a), from his fathers, from the Commander of the Faithful (a), who said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said to Ali (a) on the night of his death, “O Abu al-Hasan, bring a sheet and an inkwell.” The Messenger of Allah dictated his testament until he came to this place, and said: “O Ali, after me there will be twelve Imams, and after them twelve Mahdis. You, O Ali, are the first of the twelve Imams.”’ The narration continues until he said: ‘“Al-Hasan (a) shall hand it over to his son M-H-M-D, the Preserver from the family of Muhammad (a). Those are the twelve Imams. Then after him there will be twelve Mahdis. When death comes to him, he shall hand it over to his son, the First of the Mahdis. He has three names: a name like my name and my father’s name, which is Abdullah and Ahmed; and the third name is al-Mahdi. He is the first of the believers”’ ([91]). Al-Sadiq (a) said: ‘From us, after the Qa’im, are twelve Mahdis from the descendants of al-Husayn (a)’ ([92]). Al-Sadiq (a) said: ‘From us, after the Qa’im, are eleven Mahdis from the descendants of al-Husayn (a)’ ([93]). In this narration, the Qa’im is the First Mahdi, not Imam al-Mahdi (a), because after the Imam (a) are twelve Mahdis. Al-Baqir (a), describing the First Mahdi, said: ‘… that one is tinged with redness, has deep-set eyes, prominent eyebrows, broad shoulders, dandruff on his head, and a mark on his face. May Allah have mercy on Moses’ ([94]). The Commander of the Faithful (a) said in a long report: ‘… He (a) said: Indeed, the first of them is from Basra, and the last of them is from the Abdal …’ ([95]). Al-Sadiq (a), in a long report in which he named the companions of the Qa’im (a), said: ‘… and from Basra … Ahmed …’ ([96]). Imam al-Baqir (a) said: ‘He-that is, the Qa’im-has two names: a name that is concealed and a name that is announced. The concealed one is Ahmed, and the announced one is Muhammad’ ([97]). Ahmed is the name of the First Mahdi, and Muhammad is the name of Imam al-Mahdi (a), as is clear from the testament of the Messenger of Allah (s). Al-Baqir (a) said: ‘Allah the Exalted has a treasure in Taleqan, not gold or silver: twelve thousand in Khurasan whose slogan is “Ahmed, Ahmed.” A young man from Banu Hashim will lead them upon a gray mule, wearing a red headband. It is as though I see him crossing the Euphrates. When you hear of that, hasten to him, even crawling over snow’ ([98]). Ahmed is the name of the First Mahdi, vicegerent of Imam al-Mahdi (a), the first to believe in Imam al-Mahdi (a) at the beginning of his appearance, and the messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a) to all people. In the supplication for the third day of Shaban-the birthday of Imam al-Husayn (a)-narrated from Imam al-Mahdi (a): ‘O Allah, I ask You by the right of the one born on this day … compensated for his killing by the Imams being from his progeny, healing being in his soil, triumph being with him at his return, and the vicegerents being from his descendants after their Qa’im and his occultation, until they attain the blood claims, exact vengeance, satisfy the All-Subduing, and become the best supporters. May Allah bless them through the succession of night and day. O Allah, by their right I seek recourse to You …’ ([99]). If you reflect upon the supplication, you will become certain that what is meant by the vicegerents is the vicegerents of Imam al-Mahdi (a), including their father, the First of the Mahdis (a), mentioned in the narrations and in the prophecy of the Jewish Nostradamus, so that it may be a conclusive proof upon the Jews, Christians, and the Western world that believes in this prophecy, since it proved true regarding many past events and was spoken by a Western French Jew from among them. Now that it has become clear to you that the vicegerent mentioned in the prophecy is the vicegerent of the Mahdi (a), I turn with you to the calculation. First: ‘The Yamani is the vicegerent.’ The word ‘وصي’ (vicegerent): 1. و + ص + ي 6 + 90 + 10 = 106 by the large sum. It is converted to the small sum: 6 + 100, so by the small sum it is 6 + 1 = 7. 2. و + ص + ي 6 + 9 + 1 = 16 by the small sum. The word ‘اليماني’ (the Yamani): 1. ا + ل + ي + م + ا + ن + ي 1 + 30 + 10 + 40 + 1 + 50 + 10 = 142 by the large sum. It is converted to the small sum: 2 + 40 + 100, so by the small sum it is 2 + 4 + 1 = 7. 2. ا + ل + ي + م + ا + ن + ي 1 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 5 + 1 = 16 by the small sum. The preceding calculation thus makes clear to you that: ‘وصي’ (vicegerent) = ‘اليماني’ (the Yamani) = 7 after calculating them by the large sum and converting to the small sum. ‘وصي’ (vicegerent) = ‘اليماني’ (the Yamani) = 16 after calculating them by the small sum. Second: When asking about the person of the Yamani, we say ‘من هو اليماني’ (who is the Yamani). If the Yamani is the vicegerent of Imam al-Mahdi (a)-that is, the First Mahdi mentioned in the testament of the Messenger of Allah (s)-the answer is ‘هو وصي المهدي’ (he is the vicegerent of the Mahdi), or ‘هو وصي’ (he is a vicegerent). The number of ‘المهدي’ (al-Mahdi) is: ا + ل + م + هـ + د + ي 1 + 30 + 40 + 5 + 4 + 10 = 90 by the large sum. Converted to the small sum, 90 becomes 9. Now calculate: ‘من هو اليماني’ (who is the Yamani) م + ن + هـ + و + (ا ل ي م ا ن ي) 4 + 5 + 5 + 6 + (7) = 27 ‘هو وصي المهدي’ (he is the vicegerent of the Mahdi) هـ + و + (و ص ي) + (ا ل م هـ د ي) 5 + 6 + (7) + (9) = 27 ‘هو وصي’ (he is a vicegerent) هـ + و + (و ص ي) 5 + 6 + (16) = 27 It thus becomes clear to you that the numerical value of ‘من هو اليماني’ (who is the Yamani) = ‘هو وصي المهدي’ (he is the vicegerent of the Mahdi) = ‘هو وصي’ (he is a vicegerent). Calculate ‘هو اليماني’ (he is the Yamani) by the small sum and you will find that it equals the twenty-seven letters of knowledge that the Qa’im (a) spreads among the people. Abu Abdullah (a) said: ‘Knowledge is twenty-seven letters. Everything the messengers brought is two letters, and to this day the people have known no more than the two letters. When our Qa’im rises, he will bring out the twenty-five letters, spread them among the people, and join the two letters to them, until he spreads all twenty-seven letters’ ([100]). هـ + و + ا + ل + ي + م + ا + ن + ي 5 + 6 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 5 + 1 = 27 Then calculate the number of ‘أصحاب اليمين’ (the companions of the right) in the verse: ‘Every soul is held in pledge for what it earned, except the companions of the right’ ([101]). ‘اليمين’ is calculated by the large sum and converted to the small sum, so the result is: ا + ص + ح + ا + ب + (ا ل ي م ي ن) 1 + 9 + 8 + 1 + 2 + (1 + 4 + 1) = 27 You have learned that the number 27 represents the twenty-seven letters of knowledge-knowledge of Allah and His monotheism-which Imam al-Mahdi (a) spreads among the people. From the preceding calculation, you learn that the Yamani-the vicegerent of the Mahdi (a) and the First Mahdi-is the vessel of the twenty-seven letters of knowledge. He is the vessel that receives the outpouring from Imam al-Mahdi (a) and pours it upon his companions. In relation to Imam al-Mahdi (a), the Yamani is the letter nun and the point of the nun. The Exalted said: ‘Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe. By the blessing of your Lord, you are not a madman. Indeed, for you is an unfailing reward. Indeed, you are upon a magnificent character. You will see, and they will see, which of you is afflicted with madness. Indeed, your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best those who are guided’ ([102]). In relation to the three hundred and thirteen companions of Imam al-Mahdi (a), the Yamani is the letter ba and the point of the ba in ‘In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.’ Thus he has the two stations of messengership and guardianship. In this time he represents Muhammad and Ali (a): he is the city and he is the gate. So where are you going? ‘It is not the word of an accursed devil. So where are you going? It is only a reminder to the worlds, for whoever among you wills to take a straight course. And you do not will unless Allah, Lord of the worlds, wills’ ([103]). From the preceding calculation, you learn that the companions of the right-who are also the companions of the Yamani-are the vessel of the twenty-seven letters of knowledge. They are the vessel that receives the outpouring from the Yamani, the vicegerent and messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a) to all people, and then they pour knowledge upon the people. They are the three hundred and thirteen. I will add this for you, brother: The proofs of the call are many. I have brought what the prophets and messengers (a), Muhammad (s), and the Imams (a) brought. One of the brothers among the Supporters of Imam al-Mahdi (a), Professor Diya al-Zaydi, classified dozens of proofs in his book The Clear Light. It is printed and you can consult it, as well as The Clear Proclamation, Vol 1, by Sheikh Nazim al-Uqayli-may Allah preserve him. Among the proofs of the call are: 1. The narrations from the Messenger Muhammad (s) and the Imams that specify the name, country, and qualities. 2. Knowledge of the decisive and allegorical verses and the paths of the heavens, which is among the special properties and secrets of the Imams (a). 3. Mutual imprecation, the oath of disavowal, the call to truth, and so on. 4. Unveiling while awake and truthful visions during sleep, seen by a very great number of people, in which the Messenger Muhammad (s), Ali (a), al-Zahra (a), and the Imams (a) affirm the rightfulness of this call. Visions of them (a) are established as true by the Quran and narrations from them (a). This is in addition to what you decided and made binding upon yourself from Nostradamus’s prophecy in chapter two of your book, where you transmitted this text: ‘Century Three, Prophecy Ninety-Four: For another five hundred years they will take notice of him. He is the adornment of his age. Then a great revelation will suddenly be sent forth, which will make the people of that century joyful.’ What is the great revelation other than the vision seen by a very great number of people, clarifying the truth and its possessor? Read deliberately, brother. Set seeking the truth before your eyes, investigate carefully, deal justly with yourself, and save it from the Fire. I ask Allah to guide you if you desire it, show you the truth as truth and grant you its following, and show you falsehood as falsehood and grant you its avoidance. Praise be to Allah alone. ↑ [84] Abd al-Aziz al-Qaratisi said that Abu Abdullah (a) told him: ‘O Abd al-Aziz, faith has ten degrees, like a ladder climbed one rung after another. The person on the second must not say to the person on the first, “You are upon nothing,” until he reaches the tenth. Do not cast down the one below you, lest the one above you cast you down. When you see someone one degree below you, raise him gently toward you. Do not burden him with what he cannot bear and thereby break him, for whoever breaks a believer must mend him.’ Al-Kafi, vol. 2, p. 45.

When the Messenger of Allah (s) entered his home and Quraysh gathered against him, he would recite “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” aloud and raise his voice with it. Quraysh would turn and flee, so Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed concerning that: “When you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion.”’ Al-Kafi, vol. 8, p. 266.
