Question 126
May I use an intrauterine device that prevents pregnancy, and may the person who inserts it for me be a man?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. It is permissible to use it with the husband’s approval, and it is not permissible for a man to insert it.
