Question 346

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May prayers and peace be upon the noblest of all creation, Muhammad, and upon his pure household, the Imams and the Mahdis, and may He grant abundant peace. Peace, Allah’s mercy, blessings, forgiveness, and satisfaction be upon you, my master and guardian, O successor and messenger of Imam al-Mahdi (a). My guardian, I have a religious issue; may Allah reward you with the best reward. My question is: I work for a private Muslim company that is a contractor for another Muslim company. The owner of the second company is hostile to the Imam (a) and the supporters. He has some governmental authority because he is the head of one of the parties governing the state. This contracting company reimburses my transportation expenses because my work requires travel. May I request an amount other than the actual transportation cost-for example, tell them that I spent one thousand when in fact I spent five hundred-because I am somewhat in need and the company will deduct this from the second company owned by the hostile person mentioned above? Is this permissible for me? I thank you very much, and may Allah reward you with the best reward of the righteous. Sender: Muhibb - Morocco

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. The wealth of one who openly shows hostility to the Imams, the Mahdis, or their Shia because they follow them is not inviolable. You may therefore take it or some of it if you can do so without harm befalling you. Ahmed Alhasan
