Question 364
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. I seek refuge in Allah, the Hearing, the Knowing, from Satan, the accursed, erring outcast. When I was a boy of thirteen, I saw a strange dream. I did not think about interpreting it until I found a connection between the old dream and the proofs of the Yamani call. It relates to a verse from Surah al-Shura: the verse’s presence in the Sayyid’s books and his citation of it, as well as its presence in some articles by the supporter brothers and their citation of it. All this stirred my curiosity to know whether the old dream I saw as a boy many years ago is connected to the Yamani call that appeared in 1999. Here is the dream: I was reading a book that discussed the Shia and Sunnis. The book tried to show that the Shia were in misguidance and that the truth was with the Sunnis. Because of my young age and ignorance of the proofs establishing the soundness of the Shia school, I became confused. I remained confused for a period and then supplicated to Allah to show me who possessed the truth, the Sunnis or the Shia. I then slept and saw this dream. I saw myself reciting in a sorrowful voice the Exalted’s statement: ‘He prescribed for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah, and what We revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.’ I awoke surprised that I had dreamed of myself reciting a verse from the Quran. As the years passed and after I read books defending Shiism, I became certain that the Shia possessed the truth. But what is the interpretation of this dream, and what is its connection to the Yamani call? This is an old dream. I request its interpretation from the Sayyid (a). Sender: al-Ubaydi
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. This verse has a strong connection to the Mahdi’s divine call, which is the application of the heavenly laws and what the prophets (a)-Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (s)-brought. Its fulfillment is in this age, Allah willing. Your vision was therefore glad tidings from Allah that you would attain the truth from which the followers of the tradition of the two sheikhs and the Shia of the religious authorities deviated. May Allah make you among those who uphold the limits of this noble verse with the Mahdi of the family of Muhammad (a): ‘He prescribed for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah, and what We revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: uphold the religion and do not divide within it. What you call the polytheists to is grave for them. Allah chooses for Himself whomever He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns to Him’ ([103]). Ahmed Alhasan
