Question 433
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. May Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and his family, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. My dear brother, thank you. My questions are: 1. I wish to ask the Imam of my time and my cousin, Sayyed Ahmed Alhasan-may Allah establish him upon the earth-what the correct form of prayer is, which sects are misguided, and which errors that have entered religion I must avoid. That is, I want from him comprehensive and complete counsel concerning the affairs of this world and my Hereafter, since he is my Imam. Peace be upon you, noble ones. Sender: al-Badr - Saudi Arabia
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good and spare you every evil. You will find the description of prayer in the published book The Laws. If you have a question about prayer whose answer you do not find in The Laws, you may send your question, and then, Allah willing, the answer will come to you. As for your question about those who have lost the path, know-may Allah increase your sound judgment and guidance-that everyone who lags behind Allah’s vicegerent and is not counted among the angels of Allah who prostrated is certainly counted with Iblis and his soldiers who rejected Allah’s vicegerent. Al-Sadiq (a) said: ‘Indeed, religion and the foundation of religion are a man. That man is certainty, he is faith, and he is the Imam of his nation and the people of his time. Whoever knows him knows Allah; whoever denies him denies Allah and His religion; and whoever is ignorant of him is ignorant of Allah, His religion, His limits, and His laws. It is not otherwise with that Imam. Thus it has proceeded that knowledge of the men is the religion of Allah, and knowledge in its proper form is firm knowledge upon clear insight through which the religion of Allah is known and through which one reaches knowledge of Allah’ ([43]). So know Allah’s vicegerents and turn through them toward Allah, as Allah, Glorious and Exalted, commanded, and you will be saved and prosper, Allah willing. The best knowledge is knowledge of Allah’s vicegerent because it brings you to knowledge of Allah and the Kingdom of His Heavens. The best deed is guiding people to the truth, for Allah to guide one person to the truth through you is better for you than giving the wealth of the world in charity. May Allah grant you success in every good. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Dhu al-Hijjah 1430 AH
