Question 438
What is the ruling concerning one who is unable to stand at Arafat at the religiously prescribed time determined by the infallible Imam? That is, the Day of Arafah according to the true Imam is one day after theirs, while the supporters cannot go to Arafat after they-the group of falsehood-have stood at Arafat before the prescribed time. Sender: Nasir Ahmed - Iraq
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Obligatory acts of worship must be performed at their times to the extent possible. One who cannot stand at Arafat on the Day of Arafah, even during the night, is sufficiently discharged by standing at al-Mashar after dawn. If he cannot stand at both Arafat and al-Mashar because the wrongdoers prevent him, then he is one who has been obstructed and performs the acts of the obstructed person. I have explained these matters in detail in The Laws, so you may consult them and act accordingly-may Allah grant you success. If there is something else unclear to you, you may ask.
