Question 450

Peace be upon you. What is the wisdom behind two units in the dawn prayer and four units in the noon prayer, and what is the wisdom behind not reciting aloud in the noon prayer? My master and guardian, I ask you to supplicate for my father’s healing from diabetes and to supplicate for us that Allah make us steadfast in loving you. My Imam, master, and guardian, I am lost and do not know what my duty is. I am uneducated and illiterate. Sender: Ali - Germany

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. I previously answered the question concerning the reason for prayer and for recitation aloud or quietly. I ask Allah to grant you success and direction, to favor your father with the good of the Hereafter and this world, to heal him, and to grant him well-being. You, Allah willing, are not lost; rather, by knowing the truth you have attained all good. May Allah grant you success, direct you, and make you among those who always support the truth in every condition. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Late Safar 1431 AH
