Question 472
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. What is meant by the ‘binding invocations of the jinn’ mentioned in the Supplication of the Crown? Allah is my Guardian, and He takes charge of the righteous. Peace is the conclusion. Sender: Husayn - Kuwait
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. The binding invocations of the jann, or jinn generally, are remembrances. Among them, for example, is the Verse of Subjugation. The Exalted said: ‘Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself over the Throne. He covers the day with the night, which pursues it swiftly, and the sun, moon, and stars are subjected by His command. Unquestionably, creation and command belong to Him. Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds’ ([55]). Ahmed Alhasan Jumada al-Awwal 1431 AH
