Question 488
Two months before his wife gave birth, my brother saw a vision while sleeping in his home. He saw himself asleep upon a chair in the hospital beside his wife. Al-Zahra (a) appeared and told him, ‘Allah conveys peace to you. He looked into your heart and found no one better than you to provide with a child who will have tremendous standing in Islam and be a commander with my son Imam al-Mahdi (a).’ Al-Zahra then approached my wife, delivered the child herself, raised the newborn to heaven, and supplicated. He says that this vision occurred in the middle of the month of Shaban. Sender: Amili - Germany
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. The vision is clear to you, Allah willing. The newborn is not his son but his brother-that is, the newborn is you. May Allah grant you success in every good. As for the meaning of your birth and your being a newborn: one who is guided to allegiance to Allah, Glorious is He, becomes like the day his mother bore him, without sin. As for al-Zahra (a) being the midwife, this means that she is a cause of your guidance and your knowing the truth. Her raising you to heaven means that she will be a cause for you to see the Kingdom of Allah, Glorious is He. The newborn is also glad tidings, so the vision contains the meaning that you convey glad tidings to your brother, who saw that a child was born to him. In the vision, you convey to him glad tidings of the Mahdi’s appearance, because he was told in the vision that the newborn was among the supporters of the Mahdi. Your brother should also hope from Allah’s grace that He will place righteous supporters of the Mahdis among his descendants in the future. May Allah grant you success in every good. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Dhu al-Hijjah 1430 AH
