Question 583

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, O Household. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. My master, the Imam, O son of the Prophet-may Allah send prayers and peace upon you. The subject: I have believed in your blessed Call, and I pledge allegiance to you and make a covenant with you to follow and support you. My master, I work as the preacher of a mosque in a region of Egypt that is a stronghold of the anthropomorphist Wahhabis. Before giving allegiance to you and following you, I adhered to the Ashari creed. What should I do? Should I leave the mosque in which I preach? The Wahhabis would take control of the mosque and spread corruption among the people. In particular, I hold debates and dialogues with them, all of which have been victories over this anthropomorphist thought. O Allah, grant victory to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Muhammad al-Ashari - Egypt
