Question 584

Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan, through the research I conducted to establish proof of you by the narrations of the Household (a), I found that the reference was clear to a figure who accompanies Imam al-Mahdi (they refer to him as the Mahdi, the Mansur, the minister, and the master who assumes his affair). I believe in all of that, but reassurance of the heart remains. Is there a way to attain it? Guide us, may Allah have mercy upon you. Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan, all the narrative evidence you have brought to establish your authority, your existence, and the references to you within the purport of the narrations is correct, Allah willing. Yet some anxiety remains in the recipient, including the questioner. So what is the way to reassurance of the heart? Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Sadiq - Iraq

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good. If you seek certainty and reassurance, then take provisions and journey to Allah, and ask Him, and He-Glorious is He-will answer you. How light the provision is upon pure hearts: sincerity to Him, Glorious is He. And how short the road of the journey to Him is, requiring nothing but intention, for He, Glorious and Exalted is He, is not distant from His creation: ‘We certainly created the human being and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein’ ([81]). How easy it is for you to ask Him, when voices are not confused to Him and the abundance of giving increases Him only in generosity and munificence. Is it difficult for you to prostrate and not raise your head until you hear your Lord’s answer, so that you may be saved in the Hereafter and this world? Is it difficult for you to fast for three days and beseech Allah during their nights to answer you and make the truth known to you? May Allah grant you success in every good. Seek refuge in Allah, and you will find Him an impregnable refuge; whoever seeks refuge in Him is not lost. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Middle of Sha‘ban, 1431 AH
