Question 588
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the most honorable of all Allah’s creation, the beloved of the God of the worlds, Abu al-Qasim Muhammad. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. To proceed … My master and guardian Ahmed (a), as you know, I work in the military, and the military has rules regarding marriage. That is, if I wish to marry, I must obtain permission from intelligence in order to marry. This permission is nearly impossible if the woman is not Kuwaiti, especially if she is Iraqi or Iranian, as well as for many other nationalities. As you know, my master and guardian, I am now twenty-one years old. I want to marry in order to safeguard myself-and I seek refuge in Allah from my lower self. I have left the matter of my marriage in your hands. My guardian, I ask Allah that I have not burdened you with these words. I ask your pardon and your supplication for my success. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Sender: Sh. A. - Kuwait
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. I ask Allah to grant you success in what pleases Him, Glorious and Exalted is He. He is my Guardian and He takes care of the righteous. Yes, may Allah grant you success: trust in Allah, and there is no problem concerning nationality or ethnicity. If your marriage to a non-Kuwaiti woman is not possible, then marry a Kuwaiti woman, may Allah grant you success. Be careful to choose a religious, chaste woman who will safeguard you. If you do not find a believing woman in your country, then take care to join in marriage with one whose belief and guidance to the truth you hope for. Allah is the Most Merciful of the merciful, and I ask Allah to bless you and grant you blessings. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Muharram al-Haram, 1432 AH
