Question 615
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, O repository of knowledge and locus of the Message, O Riser of the family of Muhammad (a), my master, my guardian, and my father. I apologize, my guardian, for disturbing you. I ask you never to leave me to myself. By Allah, I am terribly afraid that I will fail you. My guardian, please do not leave me to myself, O light. How can I rid myself of my darkness except through your light, my guardian? O Allah, make me be with you always and forever, and never fail you until my breath ends, O my Lord. My guardian and father, some time ago I saw this vision: I saw that I was traveling with you, my father, walking to another city forty kilometers away. Before traveling, I went to a place to buy paper with which to cover myself. The papers were orange and yellow. There were many yellow ones and everyone could buy them, whereas the orange ones were rare. I wanted to cover myself with orange. I do not know how I managed to pass an orange paper among the yellow papers without the saleswoman noticing me. After that, I saw that we were on the road. I was wearing a warm jacket of the kind worn in winter, and it covered me. But on my legs I wore trousers that reached halfway down my calves and were somewhat tight, and I had no means of covering myself. In the middle of the road, you said to me, my father, ‘Did I not tell you to cover yourself?’ or something like that. I began crying and asking you to forgive me. I bent over your hand and kissed it. You left me-to whom may my soul and everything be sacrificed-and a very beautiful fragrance of musk emanated from it. After that, we arrived at the other city, and then the events became confused for me. You were wearing a loose robe and covering your head, and it was brown. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you and your good and pure household. Sender: ielhassani
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. May Allah grant you success in every good. Clothing indicates a person’s piety and the extent to which he seeks refuge in Allah, worships Him, and relies upon Him, Glorious and Exalted is He: ‘O children of Adam, We have sent down upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment, but the garment of piety-that is best. That is among Allah’s signs, so perhaps they will take heed’ ([89]). Your vision contains guidance for you to seek refuge in Allah, Glorious and Exalted is He, through worship and sincerity. Make use of the blessed days in Sha‘ban and Ramadan. May Allah grant you success in every good. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. Ahmed Alhasan Middle of Sha‘ban, 1431 AH
