Question 689
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Is it permissible to suffice with the call to prayer broadcast on television if it agrees with the city’s local time, precedes it by a minute, or comes a little after it? Abu Israʾ - Nasiriyah
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. It is permissible to suffice with the call to prayer if it is at the time of prayer, but it is better for you to give the call to prayer yourselves.
