Question 690

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. I sometimes suffer from asthma. While performing prayer, I experience a severe asthma attack such that it is difficult for me to perform the prayer in its usual form except with severe suffering. May I use an asthma inhaler during prayer? Abu Israʾ - Nasiriyah

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. It is permissible.
