Question 719
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, supporters of Allah. May Allah grant you success and victory through our Imam, the Mahdi Ahmed Alhasan-my Lord’s prayers be upon him and his family. I greatly rejoiced at Imam Ahmed’s (a) answer. Praise be to Allah who illuminated and showed us mercy through you, my guardian Ahmed. Before you, we were lost in the earth. This message completes the subject of my divorce. This was the Imam’s answer-may my soul be a sacrifice for the dust beneath his sandals. I-and I seek refuge in Allah from the ego-cannot ask him for anything. He does not permit it, and we have not spoken to one another for seven months. If I asked him in a message to explain his position to you, it is among the most impossible of impossibilities that he would register on the forum, respond, explain, or care. He does not believe in your true call and does not know your light. My master, he will never respond to me, for he is an arrogant person who cares about nothing. I have no objection to waiting thirty days; the important thing is that I obtain a religious divorce certificate. But must I ask him to respond to you? My second question: I did not know that I had been divorced before your answer, my master. What, then, of the waiting period? I did not observe it. Must I observe it after your pure answer reached me, or do I leave it since approximately six months have passed? Sender: N. A. - Denmark
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send abundant prayers and peace upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. What is required during the waiting period is that the divorced woman not marry. Your waiting period after the divorce has passed and ended, so there is no need for you to observe another waiting period. As for a divorce certificate, you can obtain it from the religious court in Holy Najaf. There is an appointed religious judge, Sayyid al-Tahir Hasan al-Hammami-may Allah protect him. I hope that those responsible for the religious court in Holy Najaf will open an online site for the religious court, or open a section on one of the call’s official sites, so that the believers-may Allah protect them-can communicate with them from every place on earth, Allah willing.
