Question 724
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you. I have a question concerning the Imam’s (a) position regarding seeking work in the field of sports-as a soccer player, rugby player, and so on-and whether this is a religiously lawful means of livelihood. I ask Allah to grant the Imam and his supporters success in attaining victory over the wrongdoers. Sender: Haydar - Ireland

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send abundant prayers and peace upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis. It is permissible.
