Question 849
Imam al-Saq said: ‘Whoever claims to have seen him before the Cry and the Sufyani is a lying fabricator,’ yet you say you saw Imam al-Hujjah in 1999. Ahmad al-Amriki - Baghdad
Scientific Committee Response:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. The Most High said: ‘Indeed, in that are signs for those who discern’ [al-Hijr 15:75]. In your affiliation with the Americans is a sign for those who discern. America is the greatest Dajjal, and it is strange for one claiming affiliation with the Jaʿfari school to affiliate himself with the greatest Dajjal, since that affiliation and the school stand at opposite extremes! In any case, the correct name of the sixth Imam of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is Imam al-Sadiq, not al-Saq. There is no Imam of the Ahl al-Bayt with that name! Second, no such statement whatsoever exists from Imam al-Sadiq. You must therefore provide the source from which you quoted it and which attributes it to him. Or, giving you the most charitable assumption, you were mistaken and attributed to Imam al-Sadiq what he did not say because you do not know the narrations of the pure ones. In that case, as sincere religious advice, I explain what you imagined was an objection to the Yamani Call. These words occur in the sacred communication to the fourth ambassador, Ali ibn Muhammad al-Samari, the final communication to him before he passed to the Hereafter. If you have time to learn your religion, we invite you to read what the supporters of Imam al-Mahdi wrote on this subject in answer to those who invoked this communication to accuse the Call of the Yamani of the family of Muhammad, Imam Ahmed Alhasan, of falsehood. Discussion of its chain, according to your commitments, and its text is lengthy. The text is ambiguous and scholars have many positions regarding it. Moreover, the history of the Major Occultation did not accuse those who saw Imam al-Mahdi after the fourth ambassador and transmitted supplications or answers from him concerning events involving them or Imam al-Mahdi’s Shia of lying. The denial in the communication therefore specifically concerns one who claims ambassadorship immediately after the fourth ambassador; it has nothing to do with one who sees the Imam and transmits from him.
