Question 19
Must the guardian of a deceased person make up the fasting and prayers missed by his parents if they intentionally left them throughout their lives, or left them out of ignorance? If he is unable to make them up or give charity on their behalf, is there anything he should do for them?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
He must make them up. If he is unable to make them up and unable to give charity, he should continually seek forgiveness for them.
