For a shoe or sandal with a sole, is the obstacle to praying in it the part of the sole that prevents the big toe from reaching the ground, or the sole beneath the foot generally?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
The obstacle to praying in it is the part of the sole that prevents the two big toes from resting on the ground, because the two big toes are among the required parts of prostration that must rest on the ground.
